It's not true! Purefoy needs to check his facts, he says the City of Frisco has no oversight, NOT TRUE.
They have enough that this Co is given tax abatements & breaks on their taxes, yet have been allowed to
continue making the very air in Frisco dirty.
This is making the City of Frisco liable for damages to citizens living in the communities near it.
What about those citizens with "COPD" or other breathing problems.
Many years ago this company should have been made to clean this up or move the plant elsewhere.
The Frisco City Council is responsible for the conduct of this City Manager & they need to take action to protect the very citizens they have pledged to serve.
NOW, NOT SOMETIME MAYBE IN THE FUTURE.
OR, THEY BECOME LIABLE ALSO!!

So where did you get the information that the company is given tax abatements & breaks?

The Exide plant is a relic from when Frisco was a sleepy, do-nothing town and it was located on the edge of any populated areas. It's been bleching its junk for DECADES and no one has stepped up to complain before ... including the city council/government. Back then, it was seen as a boost to the town's property tax base - now it's a pariah.
This is what happens when you expand any community beyond its capacity and shrug your Master Plan asid for instant growth. Frisco's infrastructure STILL cannot handle what's been added, along with the relics it retains.
Hey, maybe you can move the mountain lions onto the Exide property???

They are also doing business under the name of "GNB INDORPORATED OR
GNB TECHNOLOGIES INC".
Clearly they own alot of parcels in
Frisco,
but, that does not make less the damage that they are doing to citizens health!
Group, do your homework please.
Here you have a ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA
CORPORTATION WAGGING THE TAIL OF FRISCO. TIME TO PUT AN END TO THE
HARM BEING DONE.
