Seriously! I have 0 faith in the court system now. I am a RESIDENT OF COLLIN COUNTY AND A COLLIN COUNTY TAXPAYER. This is a trial of women who stole money, faith & trust from COLLIN COUNTY TAXPAYERS and the judge is not going to allow RESIDENTS OF COLLIN COUNTY to allow their voices to be heard. Come on - who got ahold of him ? I might be a bit more forgiving of these ladies if they weren't going around gloating and bullying. It's one thing to get caught with your hand in the cookie jar but it truly shows a lack of respect, maturity, integrity and responsibility for your fellow man. Shame on you for going around telling your lies and trying to come up with other ways to take stuff from other people that doesn't belong to you. Where can we set up a picket line? I'd be one of the first there.

It has probably occured to Judge Nelms
that there is "few & far between" justice to be found in Collin County.
therefore he has moved the case.
The reputation of the Collin County Courthouse & any sense of justice clearly is hard to be found in any department.

Mr. Roach just admitted to the Commissioners that his own department has a version of the "blue book" called "High 5" and asked them to give it credence by putting it into county policy. How is he going to continue a prosecution after he has made this admission? On another note, if he and his staff are under investigation for criminal activity, why are all of those who decried the clerks being at work not calling for the same from the DA? How are they being allowed to continue prosecuting cases if there is the possibility of every defendant having their case reviewed because of prosecutorial illegalities?

In response to "Amazed". You make a great point. I guess it just depends on how high your political connections go as to whether the law applies to you in Collin County. Since it appears that PaPa Roach has the AG in his back pocket it will be interesting to see if the state or federal agencies are bold enough to follow through and investigate his "blue book" system also. It seems as though there are a lot of double standards in Collin County.

Earning time off is nothing new. It can be a great management tool.

The problem with the district clerks office was the secretive nature, the intent to deceive, the falsifying of time cards, the earning of time based on actions unrelated to the job, and the employment of the program by superiors in a manner used to benefit themselves.

The point made by "Amazed" was that the DA admitted to performing the same illegal acts that he says he will prosecute others for. Again, he ADMITTED to going outside the legal area of his position and violated the laws as they are being interpretted in the clerk's case. He is falsifying time cards, he is deceiving the citizens and HR by doing something prohibited by county rules. He also admitted at the commissioners court to rewarding a secretary for practicing law without a license - something for which she should be prosecuted and he should be disbarred.
